Water is the first priority of the Mueke agenda for Kitui County.

Kitui County continues to suffer from rampant water scarcity due to prolonged drought, biased distribution of water and non-functional water supply systems.

Water is one of our most basic needs. We need it for our homes, our schools, our farms, our businesses.

Without water, our health, food security and continued development is at risk.

In order to deal with this water problem once and for all, once elected as Governor, the Mueke administration shall:

• Build earth dams in every location
• Drill boreholes in every public primary school, town center and market
• Utilize Athi & Tana Rivers to dam and supply water
• Develop a water harvesting policy for homesteads and institutions

Providing water for the people of Kitui will not only Increase farming productivity significantly but also improve quality of life and dignity for women and children.
