An important pillar in the Mueke agenda as Governor of Kitui county is pegged on creating job opportunities for the people of Kitui County.

Blessed with several natural resources, vast land and a hardworking population, we have the capacity to create many jobs in this county.

To create these jobs, we shall:

• Commercialize Agriculture by ensuring that farmers have water, correct seed and fertilizer. The county shall also provide extension workers to farms, manage post-harvest issues and find markets for farmer’s produce.
• We shall also attract investors to invest in our county and help exploit our natural resources,
• Set up a county empowerment fund that will provide capital for small businesses, saccos, self help groups using the bottom up approach.
• Ensure that local businesses benefit from county tenders at the sub location, location and ward levels.

The Mueke administration promises to create the right business environment for people to start and grow their businesses in Kitui thus creating much needed jobs.
